This is my piece for the seventh issue of The Terrible Zodin, which came out today and you should all go check out. I'm in there with several other artists here on dA AND Rob Shearman, one of my favorite people on the planet currently! So go look!
This took so long, but I am so happy with it. Anticipating questions, here are some quick answers:
*I chose companions I liked or wanted to paint (which were sometimes separate things), rather than the ones that were most iconic or the longest with that Doctor or the most expected or something. And in the case of Eleven, the only option at the time the painting was made. Sorry if your favorite didn't make it, but this is the lineup that made me happiest to create! Please do not comment about how much you wish I would have included Martha, K-9, etc. Companions I liked and/or wanted to paint! That's it!
*Eight is with Charley Pollard, from the audio adventures, who spent something like 9 years being his companion and who I am extremely gay for.
*This marks the first time I have drawn MANY of these people.
*The background is a piano arrangement of the Doctor Who theme.
*This was done before the end of Series 5! Drunk Giraffe was not an option at that point! Air guitar was taken from Matt Smith fooling around in clip from a Doctor Who confidential.
Oh my gosh! I NEVER see Eight/Charley art anywhere. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (I'd totally be gay for Charley too, if I weren't so distracted by Eight. Especially Eight!Zagreus. Ooops. That was out loud, wasn't it?)
You are so welcome, I'm glad someone else enjoys them, because they are glorious~
