How long has it been since I did a Homicides picture like this?
Considering that I've never been bothered to do an actual background for them before, the answer is probably never. This is the biggest 'homicidal orgy' drawing I've ever done, actually. I had to scan it in four parts to fit it on my scanner, and my scanner generally has problems with anything beyond 9X12. This was also sort of requested by my girlfriend, who I met through these people, and she felt we should have some representation of them on our wall. I totally agreed. She gave me Baron Saturday to work with ([link]) since she's always been fond of him, and of course he became Johnny, and we went from there. Amazing fun, this one. I am incredibly tired from doing it, but it makes me very happy. Johnny, Edgar, Jimmy and Devi belong to Jhonen Vasquez, while Banshee, the depraved looking thing in the bottom left, is mine. |

The longer I stare, the more I notice. The more I notice, the more I love it. All the jewelry, the body paint, Edgar's beautiful suit, Jimmy's trying-a-little-too-hard stance, the fact that Devi is between Johnny's legs and they all seem to just lock together, except Banshee, who's a bit more off to the side.
Devi's dress is spectacular. I love the way it just spreads out around her. The Chelsea Smile paint and contacts. Awesome.
The background really completes it here. Loving the dark purple theme. The weird drapes and such give it a mysterious, "they could be anywhere" feel.
It's the tiny details that make this one, though.

The color palette is GORGEOUS. Perfect. Devi looks spectacular, but I think Jimmy is my favorite. Edgar is reaaaally great, too- I especially love his hand on Johnny's thigh. ;D

Tenna doesn't appear on stage for the most part, so sometimes she gets included, and sometimes she doesn't. It's a whim, mostly. She hasn't been in the last several of the orgy drawings, actually.
